Good day to all of you. Well, I have just entered the second week here at Baptist High School. I have come to the realization that I actually have a class size of about 72 kids in two different classrooms...This will prove to be a bit of a challenge. I hope that I am capable of educating these young minds. I will be teaching about viruses, bacterica, fungus, algae (which they pronounce al-gay). It will be interesting.
I went to a catholic mass yesterday. I did not understand much of what the priest said and it was a rather large congregation with one white woman amongst them...ME.....!!! They rely a lot on prayer and Gods guidance...
We are still having a lot of rainfall. It is incredibly foggy out today. I believe that we will go to visit the capitol of Cameroon over the weekend...Yaounde (yow- as in wow -un-day). Perhaps I can find some fun souveniers...I have had no luck yet here in Buea.
I hope all is well and the Bears are winning...enjoy the beautiful fall. I do miss the turning of the leaves and the fall fresh air...
My love to all. Nancy~

Hi Nancy...with such a big class I hope the kids are well behaved...the weather here if finally getting cooler...I think we may have an early fall...I love being able to have the windows open...I hate how stuffy the place can get...nothing really exciting happening, but just thought I would say a quick hello...I can't imagine how strange it must feel to be so far away, in such a different environment and not having those little everyday habits that give a sense of familiarity that you never think about til they're gone...I think one of the things I would miss most would be a good cup of coffee in the morning...speaking of which I think I'm ready for my 2nd cup...have a great day...GAL PAL
So......these kids speak English??
They must think you are absolutely adorable! I know they are always fascinated by Americans' white skin!

Hey Nancy!
We were all wondering where you were in class yesterday, and then remembered that you're in Africa... LOL- we all miss you so much! It's different without you.. we miss our Nooner! Mike would occasionally blurt out "hey, where's Nancy"... good times. Keep working hard, this is your ticket to the future- remember, as much as you get stressed sometimes, it'll all be worth it in the end. Asher's post made me cry- I wish I could have met him, oh well, theres always November. Anyways, please let me know what you would like me to print. Do you want the comments people leave you as well?! xoxoxo, love ya!
